Our Builder's Story
Kory Avarell has been committed to the local building industry since 1965 when his father put him to work in his own construction business. For the past 38 years, Kory has performed almost all the trades and gained the invaluable experience which shows in his homes.
Kory was born in Lake Arrowhead the second year the hospital was in operation. Since he enjoys the Lake Arrowhead lifestyle, he can relate to what his clients are looking for in a home and is the designer and the draftsman for most homes he builds.
Having achieved the rare accomplishment of building over 500 homes locally, he is in a category of his own—having built far more homes than any other local builder. It is difficult to drive even a half mile on any given street in Lake Arrowhead without passing at least one home built by Kory. Kory has also built over 200 homes in Crestline, Running Springs, and Green Valley Lake.
Experience has taught him that systems and the use of good computer programs is a must. He makes use of great computer and system knowledge on every home to build with extreme control and competence. He utilizes a specialized computer programmer to keep his custom, state-of-the-art systems up-to-date.
The only way to build enough houses to make a difference in rebuilding is with great systems. Kory’s wife, Verna has programmed software for him for the last 10 years. The teamwork of builder and software programmer will enable them to rebuild as effectively as possible with state of the art systems.
A Family Business since 1965...
Prestige Mountain Homes has been a family-run business since 1965 with many family members participating in the various aspects of the building process.
