When it comes to designing and building a home, most home builders have an architect draw the plans, who then hands them back to the contractor. While our clients are welcome to use their own architects, we have developed a design-build approach that joins the functions of architect and builder into one, thereby eliminating the all-too-common delays that often result from the architect-builder relationship. At Prestige Mountain Homes, we will both design your home and build it, thereby accepting full responsibility for the project. Over the years we have discovered that our unique design-build approach helps us finish your home more efficiently, without unnecessary delays, and enables us to deliver the home you envisioned.

Overview of the Design Process

The design process begins with a preliminary client meeting where we listen closely to your ideas and needs in order to design a home that fits your lifestyle and budget.

At Prestige Mountain Homes, we are ready to help you design your home, regardless of how much or how little you know about what you want in your new home. Whether you come to us with a preconceived design or with little more than mere ideas, you will find our expertise and experience befitting of your circumstance. And after using our state-of-the-art home rendering software and walking through some of our newly constructed homes, you will be able to better visualize how your home will look and feel the day you walk through the front door.

After you have helped us design your home, we will be able to tell you how much the project will cost. This estimate will allow you to decide if the design fits your budget. If you are satisfied with the design and the estimate, we can immediately start the building process. If not, then it’s back to the drawing board until we have laid out exactly what you want.

Over the years we have gained lots of experience designing and building all types of homes. Because we have designed so many homes, especially in the mountain area, we will be able to share with you the good and the bad of what we have learned from prior designs. This experience will be invaluable to you as we design your home, and you will notice the difference this experience makes in the design process.
